Each round is run through a stitch checker that re-adds the instruction and compares it to the total in brackets. Where the two disagree, the square is held back until Nora has worked it by hand. The (24) at the end of a round means twenty-four — not "about twenty-four".
Our charts are plotted directly from the verified instructions, so the corner groups, chain spaces and round count in the diagram are the same ones in the text. Read whichever you prefer; they cannot drift apart.
