No dense legalese here. These are the simple, fair rules for using MyGrannySquare. By browsing the site or making one of our patterns, you're agreeing to them — so here they are, in plain English.

The patterns are yours to make

Every pattern on MyGrannySquare is free to use, forever. Crochet them for yourself, for gifts, for charity, for your craft-fair table. You're welcome to sell the finished items you make — the squares, blankets, and bags that come off your hook are yours to keep or sell. A kind link back to the pattern is always appreciated, never required.

What stays ours

The one thing we ask: please don't copy, re-post, or repackage the pattern content itself — the written instructions, photos, PDFs, or files — onto another website, video, ebook, or printable pack without our say-so. That work is what keeps the lights on here. Want to share a pattern? Link to it. That's how you help us keep everything free for the next maker.

Crochet is a craft, not a guarantee

Nora tests every pattern before it goes live, but your yarn, your hook, and your own hand tension all shape the result. We can't promise a pattern will behave identically in every fibre and gauge — that's the nature (and the joy) of handmade. If something looks off, tell us and we'll take a proper look.

Ads & recommendations

MyGrannySquare is kept free by a mix of display ads and the occasional affiliate link to yarn and tools we rate. Those small commissions never cost you a penny extra. The full story is in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Now and then we point you to other sites for inspiration or supplies. Once you're on someone else's site, their rules apply — we can't vouch for their content, ads, or accuracy.

If these rules change

We may tidy or update these terms from time to time. When we do, the date at the top changes, and carrying on using the site means you're happy with the latest version.
